The new legislation concerning Landlord’s EICR responsibilities is now fully active. If you are a landlord with private rental property in Croydon or Bromley, you should already have an EICR. This, up until the end of March, the requirement was only for new tenancies. Now, you must supply all of your tenants with an up to date electrical installation condition report. Your local authority can request the report at any time. It needs to be supplied within seven days of any request, so make sure you have it readily to hand.
